Ice rain broke car

There was few days ago nasty ice rain in Croatia. There was some flood but most dangerous part is that ice was so big that it damaged cars. You can see photo of this Toyota. It was like scene from movie.

I'm just curious that the whole glass panel did not break into small bits and pieces when it should if it's tempered (or safety) glass.

@sunrisefan Those glass don't break into small piece since during car accident would be much dangerous.

@hereandthere Depends what type Insurance policy is. if it's basic type, than don't cover.

Whoa, all that damage to a thick glass just from hails!? That is really scary... but what's more dangerous is what would happen if people get hit by such big chunks of ice!
