Her cheeks were flushed because she was sad and mad that I had to take my break. We had been right in the middle of an elephant and piggie book.

I had no clue but the picture but more of an idea from your words. I'm guessing you did upset her in some way. I see it was related to your reading her some books. Does it also have something to do with her shoes being off? Seriously, you think it's a simple question because you know the answer. I wrote a post somewhat recently where I asked what the photo was and since the image was dark no one guessed it even though I have a great clue in the title itself. In fact, had it not been a clue someone should have noticed the word was used incorrectly. It really wasn't because I intended it to me a clue, but it was missed entirely. I've yet to expound on that idea and photo. Once the lighting is better I will try for a lighter image and then talk about it more.

@TheHorse your clues do show she's not o pleased, or that she did something wrong. Her expression isn't specific enough to know exactly the problem. Do you have to take your beans when you are told? If think they would make allowances for your interaction with the children. At my one job we are told when to go also. We usually follow orders, except when they run behind on a previous break or lunch then I tend to balk.

Perhaps I'll check it out. In this case, I was reading her a Mo Willems book that she and I both love, and a bossy co-worker told me it was my break time. I couldn't even finish the book with her. She was not pleased.

Actually, she was being a bit of a ham, even though she was mad at me. I had to take my break right in the middle of a book we were reading together, and she went into a pout. I said "I have to take a picture of you being mad at me. You're so adorable and I still love you." She kept the pose up while I took the photo.
