Right now, I am listening to Chopin "Tristesse".
I just don't know why this piece of one of my favorite
classical composer has the power of calming me down.
I have loved listening to Frederic Chopin since I was
just a little girl. He has always fascinated me.
By the way, the word "tristesse" means "sadness" in English,
but it does not bring sadness in me.
Does it in you?

Chopin....a great author and a beautifull piece! Some years ago, I visited Mallorca and went on an excursion to a place called Valldemossa. Chopin passed part of his life there in the Real Carthusian where he met his love Mrs George Sand. The Carthusian is open as a Museum where the visitors can see one of his pianos from Poland to that place and where he composed some of his works.

@Meramar , Rereading some of my earlier posts and now listening again to "Tristesse".
Thank s again for the mention of the place. I just found this from him:
“I shall certainly go to live in an enchanting Charterhouse in the most beautiful country in the world; sea, mountains, palm trees, a cemetery, a church dating back to the Crusades, the ruins of a mosque, thousand-year-old olive trees…! Now, dear friend, I am enjoying life a little more, I am very close to the most beautiful things in the world, I am a better man.” (Chopin)

Classical music, I have no fond of. But when my son was in my tummy I listened to the cd my sister gave me, a collection of classical music by Mozart, Bach, and Chopin.
