Sardines

Sardines used to be my last choice when it came to fish. But now I force myself to eat them as they are rich in Omega 3 that which keeps my cholesterol in check. Strangely they too have a price just like any other exotic fish simply because they are in demand.
They were sold in heaps but now they are counted. Sardines are tasty but one cannot eat them that frequently just like any other food item but I have no choice.
Sardines can be cooked in several ways.I fry them, and there is a nice recipe where they are pressure cooked. Strangely the fish stays firm. We also have sardines in curry which goes well with rice.
What is your way of controlling your cholesterol?

I am relying on food rather than pills. I was taking pills but not any more. I also take cod liver capsules. Nuts too are in my diet

I don't do anything about my cholesterol. I don't even know what it is. Maybe one day I'll get it checked.

My cholesterol is slightly higher than normal when I had my blood tested ( many months ago) My doctor did not prescribe any meds. I just takecare of my diet, avoid fatty, oily foods.
Sardines are a rich source of omega fatty acids. But I seldom eat them fresh. The sardines I ate are the tinned ones.
