Salted boiled peanuts

We get peanuts in different forms. Unshelled raw, unshelled roasted, peeled but raw. peeled even with the red skin removed roasted and salted, some roasted unsalted. Then there are those that are candied. What we do not get to buy are boiled peanuts. I buy unshelled raw peanuts and boil them at home with a bit of salt. I pressure cook them for quick results and of the lot I like these the best.

I buy peeled raw, I mix with a bit of oil and salt and I roast in the oven. My husband likes salted roasted peanuts. I am allergic.

I love boiled peanuts. It's healthier that way because you didn't put cooking oil to cook it. I also love it boiled.

@kepweng Yes, it's so nutritious. It is said to be foods for the brain. Especially, when it's boiled, hence no oil, so it's healthy.

That's a good snack I love to have when I watch tv with my daughter. But I cannot eat as much as I want to since my gallbladder was removed.

I have heard about nuts having gall bladder issues. No matter what food there are always side effects

@allknowing Most foods, yes, there are side effects. Fruits and vegetables are the only foods that don't give me stomach issues.

@rakski In a way you are right. You develop immunity. I remember a friend of mine used to give her kids tap water as her logic was they will develop immunity

@allknowing As far as I can remember. Pretty sure there was a decent amount of veg stock in there, and it was pureed smooth. Quite tasty.

I haven't tried these but I'm not very fond of peanuts. I cashews and pistachios and that's about it.

I like peannuts in several forms but nothing like boiled peanuts. When I was on holiday in the US I picked up a packet of candied peanuts. They were nice too
