Hello everyone! As most of you already know, I am a single mother of 2 wonderful girls. I just realized that it's been 7 years that I am doing this single handedly. It's not easy but it's also fun at the same time. I just remember the times that I'm struggling too much whenmu kids are still little. They are not so little anymore but still kids. I still have a long way to go and I think that I am doing a good job despite of being on my own. The girls don't even worry about the fact that they don't have a Dad at home. I don't think they are even jealous about their friends who got a complete set of parents.
Sometimes I have already thought about it. What if I get married or at least get a partner? But then again, I will just realized that with everything that I have to handle, I'm not even sure if I can even have time to date. I devoted my time and energy to my kids already. Plus our cute pet is like my baby. It's going to be hard if we will adopt a father for them.
Just a random thought this lazy Sunday. How's your Sunday Mylotters?

Hi Cher. I am proud of you for being honest and proud that you are a single parent. @ridingbet is also a single parent. Others would not even admit they have a child and say they are a single parent. High respects for you and other single parents who raised their children singlehandedly.

I can't understand why others are trying to hide it. It's a tough job and it takes a very strong person to deal with it. They should be proud.

@cherriefic Me too. It might destroy their reputation because they are pretending to be someone else and having a child might hinder them from getting attention.

I think you are doing a terrific job raising your kids all alone and single handedly!
Being alone does not mean your life will be empty. I salute you for choosing that path right now. If anf when you will have a partner in the future, God only knows and for sure if that time comes you and the kids will be ready for it.

I guess it's easier now even if I'm alone doing it since I'm so used to it already. It will be hard to change it.

Your girls look so happy and serene, you're doing a fantastic job.
My mother used to be lonely for some time, I understood her struggle and I didn't really envy the other kids because I knew my mommy was the strongest, and I was very proud of her.
That's probably how your girls think of you.
Well, my mother dated a few men, she always made sure they were respectful towards me. It's hard to find a man who genuinely cares and is fine with having less intimacy because kids should always be the priority. But it's possible. A man is supposed to help and support you, not be an extra trouble.

Thanks! I hope it's what they are thinkinghe same thing too. Sacrifices has to be made in order to raise a child alone. You're Mom must be very brave to date. I'm too scared to even try.

when a single parent enjoys the responsibility of bringing up her kid alone, i think it is a selfless act.
i am a single parent and i am working hard; gladly, my son graduated from college and i single-handedly took my responsibility as both mother and father to him

You are stronger than you thought and you did great. I also raised my son singlehandedly since he was born.
When he was 7, my niece who is 1 year younger, was sent over for me to look after. So eventually, I had 2 kids to raise. My son is 19 years old now. I'm glad that I got over the period of struggles.
How old are your daughters now?
