It is so easy to misplace something...

and yet so difficult to find it again. As some of you know, yesterday we had to take every single thing from my room so that the carpet could be installed. On a chest of drawers, I have more things that I can name. There are family pictures, small beautiful boxes, even a big carved box that was my grandmother´s and that fortunately the burglars though it was too heavy to carry. Yesterday I took everything out. I have found some of the things inside the top drawer, other things on the living room table. But I am sure there are more. Yesterday I had a pair of flip flops around. Today I easily found one and it took me ages to find the other in another room Luckily tomorrow Leticia is coming. She has a special talent to find lost things. Do you get things misplaced?

I am not sure why but it seems that when I do misplace something, it is part of a pair.

Always! I can´t understand how would a sock get lost forever if it is not so small.

@ScribbledAdNauseum What irritates me is that it goes against reason!

@marguicha Losing a sock is the worst. I have taken to wearing socks with patterns, it makes it easier to match and easier to find.

It's good she'll be there to help you find the misplaced items. I am very good at misplacing things and not finding them for months.

So am I. Usually I call Leticia asking who "stole" this or that She asks me patiently where did I last see it. And she finds it.

@just4him Leticia is my memory. But she is also the one who hides many things as she like to have everything in place. Only it is is "her" place

@marguicha That's good you have help finding what you lost. My brain isn't always very helpful in that department.

Are those your boxes in the picture? They're very nice. If only you can make your flip flop ring, huh? As for me, the thing that I can misplace that I find so difficult to find is my glasses. Because it can be hard to see without my glasses (my myopia is a bit high, I guess) and sometimes it's in the clutter right in front of me and I still miss it.

No. I have beautiful boxes, but not as many as those. My father often found his glasses in front of his eyes after he yelled for them

My mom says that I’m very good at misplacing things and I can never find them. This is very true but I only do that in her house

Hi Marguicha. Yes, a lot. My ponytails, my earrings. There are other things that I did not notice were lost and found it when I was cleaning.

I had a pair of earrings that I placed in an "intelligent place" after the burglars came. They were lost for 3 months until I found them while looking for something else.

Yes sometimes. Most of them I know stuff where is, but sometimes my mother put stuff away and I have to hunt for some stuff.

I would misplace my soul if I didn't need it to survive. My mom haunts everything down. I hope if I ever become a mom I can have that searcher trait.

Fortunately for me, Leticia finds things here. I must say though that many times she is the one who hides them.
