Argentina squeeze though to the last 16 with a dramatic 2-1 win over Nigeria , full back Rojo slamming in a beautiful side foot goal on 85 minutes. Messi opened the scoring with an even better goal and then a silly penalty leveled it up. In the other game Croatia were always in charge and closed out the group with a 2-1 win over Iceland. Messi was under huge pressure after half the team fell out with the manager and Aguero the scapegoat and named as sub. In the other group France and Denmark played out a terrible 0-0 draw to deny Australia. But Peru went two up early and so Denmark never in danger as the Mexican wave entertained a bored crowd.
