Festivals of India - Celebrations Goes On!!

India is such a country where people from different castes reside in different states and cities. The diversity in culture is what makes India as a country unique and mesmerizing. People in India live in unity despite of belonging to different caste and community. People here celebrate all festivals irrespective of whether they belong to that community or not. The major festivals of India are as follows:- 1. Diwali- Diwali is the festival of lights wherein people ignite diyas as well as make rangolis, fire crackers and visit relatives homes by wearing new clothes. It's a festival mainly of Hindus. 2. Holi- Holi is the festival of colours. People apply different colours on each other as a mark of celebration. It's celebrated mainly by Hindus. 3. Eid- Eid is the festival of Muslims wherein they visit mosque to offer prayers by wearing new white clothes. They also visit relatives and have yummy food. 4. Christmas- Christmas is the festival celebrated by Christians wherein they go to church for offering prayers and then enjoy yummy food too 5. Nowruz- Nowruz is the festival of parsis, a small community residing in India. They visit fire temples by wearing new clothes and then visit relatives, thereby having good time along with yummy food. There are infinite number of festivals celebrated in India. It's a democratic country so everyone enjoys all festivities.
