I didn't want to rant

I spent about 5 minutes writing a rant but then I realized that no one would read it so why waste the energy?
People wouldn't read it for the reasons of, it is not a food post, it wasn't going to be short, and oh it was posted by me who only gets like 4 responses on posts if I am lucky.
I said I wasn't going to rant, but I can't help it because this is one of the reasons why my mental stability has been not okay. It is not the ONLY reason, god no, that would be stupid.
I don't want to seem like a little attention wanting person, but I can't help that sometimes things are a bit unfair and maybe it is my fault. I talk about things that people don't care about. I'm creating something that many of you are not interested in it.
But dang it, I'm a leo, I like attention, I get lonely easily, and not getting noticed is painful to me. So only getting 2 comments on a drawing I did, I have been thinking about that for the last 3 days and it still bugs the heck out of me.
You have these tiny little posts getting 15 or more responses, my posts are not even that long and my last 3 posts only had a total of 9. Not 9 responses on one, but 9 in the total of the last 3. I could be wrong by now because I haven't checked out notifications in a little bit, but that is what I remember.
I am just sad, I feel like I have to make these kinds of posts every few months. I know I'm not for everyone, I know my posts are not short and sweet, but ugh I don't know.
I just feel like I have done something wrong.
(thank you to the ones that actually stop by my posts regularly, you are the reasons why I stay on here and so my mental health doesn't completely collapse)

@DesirousDreamer You can't take it personally. myLot has people who are interested in all sorts of things and there are no requirements for members about what they do/don't have to respond to. Everyone has different interests. I don't think anyone was intentionally trying to hurt your feelings. If you aren't getting a good response to your work here, maybe you should focus on promoting it on sites that are devoted to web comics.
I enjoy you. I obviously missed whatever post it is that you are so upset about. Still, I stand by my statement that this isn't worth the angst. We are all "strangers".

Internet is my real life. I work online, I am on the internet for 12-18 hours a day. Shame on me for having feelings because a post about food gets 20 responses but my post about something I worked hard on only gets 2. I'm trying to network, build a career and I need all the support I can get. I'm sorry for being upset because I'm trying so hard to be successful.

I enjoy your discussions. I always have. As sad as it is many people are not here anymore or they have went on vacations and junk with their families. There are only a few of us here that work from home and don`t have kids.
I think what you need to do to get more people reading you is to comment on a lot of peoples discussions, that is what I do but I have noticed not as many people commenting as there was lets say 2 months ago.
Go ahead and rant, its good for you!

I comment so much on people's posts. I am on here all day long. And I was thinking that Yeah maybe because of vacations BUT how does a post about my weight loss get 12 responses but a drawing post only get 2? Or other posts only get 3 or 4? That doesn't make sense. They were posted around the time when people are on, so I don't know. I feel like I'm just a bit ignored. I can't help it. I bark about the same thing every few months, because well I'm trying to enjoy this place and I also want to earn some extra money. Why do the people that post 3 sentences get to earn money and the people that actually put effort into their post only get paid every 2 months? Seems a bit unfair.

That is what I do!! I interact all freaking day long! I have been here for 2 years and I have barked about the same problem for 2 dang years. I am doing all I can but I can't help but be heartbroken when a post that is 2 sentences long gets 20 responses but mine that are not even that freaking long only gets 2. Doesn't that seem unfair?

I think I wasn't around much that day, so I missed it myself. But I'll get there.
The way to get more responses is to give many, so your name gets seen more often.
There might be a perfect time and day to boost them, and a luck factor perhaps.
Your posts aren't often short, but they're sweetest, by the way.

I do that, I don't know I just feel like I get a little black listed sometimes because of situations I have had with a certain person. after that happened it just seems a bit, unlucky for me.

You haven't done anything wrong, and people do like your posts. Maybe not all at once, but not everyone is on all the time either. I used to be here every other hour I was up, but am now on 'maybe' 2 times a day period.. so I miss a lot of posts, as i'm sure most here do. just write what you want, and enjoy the site however you do. like everyone else does. And please, take care of yourself.
Also, I'm a leo too so that's cool to know about you.

It is hard to enjoy it when this is a constant thing that happens to me. Haven't people noticed that I post this kind of thing every few months? I post at all times of the day and I get buried a lot and it hurts because I'm actually trying to show things about my life, excited about my work and it just sucks that that gets buried but the 400th post about someone's dinner get noticed.

No one knows how a post gets to the top of top rated or gets to the bottom of top rated. Having said that it could be that many respond to many discussions. I have seen some who respond to as many as 100 discussions in a day. How any do you respond to?

I'm not aiming for top rated. I'm aiming to at least get more than 2 responses on a post that I actually show something that I am doing. I don't know how many I respond to a day, I just know I respond to a lot. I don't want to be popular, I don't care about top rated, i just want to be seen.

@DesirousDreamer Even to get a reasonable amount of responses responding to others will help. As I have noticed if one does not respond to discussions if their discussions are not responded to.

I know not everyone can be online at the same time, that would be impossible. You go out and enjoy that weather and time with the kids!

@DesirousDreamer I still feel real bad about not being active here! I keep saying I will get caught up when they nap, but my oldest doesnt nap. My youngest keeps napping on me! haha
