Last night was not to bad, for me. I slept well but Tony did not. I laid back down and slept till noon. I had to call the power company and explain that Tony is sick, she told me to take him to the hospital. So I went to the power company. I was told that it was just to bad that a few people in my area was without power that more populated areas were first and that I should go buy a back up generator, so I told her I was thinking about back up power, solar! And do they have a program where they will pay me for extra I make? She shut up.But still told me there was not a time they would be here. We went to work, well me and Tony was in the car with the air on, we did not cut any trees today, I did landlady stuff. My sister is better and moved from the bed to the couch and had ate 1/2 can of soup. I got home and mowed some of my grass and let the dogs roam for a little. The dogs did not even know the fence was off! We were headed for more ice and I seen the power company getting the small limb off the line, it was 8 pm. When I got home the power was back on, I thanked God! We had planned to sleep in the car with the a/c on since the house was over 90 degree` inside at dark. Solar power is looking more and more appealing, a big investment but hey I was told I did not matter because I was just one. How was your day?

hi my friend.. my day went fine. Solar power too is common in my place and quite the investment since you no longer have to pay much on your electric bill.

Even one person does matter. It is good to start on the solar I think.

I am so glad that you got the power back, we have lived through a hurricane in August that made us lose our power for 5 days, it was ugly.

@andriaperry No, the difference for us is the worry about frozen pipes when the weather is as cold as it gets here

I am so glad the power was back, it is impossible to sleep in a house that is so hot. A solar power is a good investment.

I wish solar was not so high to get started also. I would already have it or a wind mill for power. Glad to hear your sister is doing better.

@andriaperry We do have a generator so can keep the freezer going if we need to. Our electric company has always been very good thankfully.

Me too but with each power outage and each time I lose food, drives me one step closer to getting it.

Hi Andria. Thank God there is light finally. I would not survive another day of no electricity. All is well for us here.

Solar power comes expensive but only at the installation part. And I know electric companies or the government buys your wattage when you have an excess. Not sure if they do that in your place but I have talked to an English man and told me they have such program in the UK.

I'm glad to know that your electricity is back. It is too painful to have no electricity on such a hot day.

That's so infuriating that they treat you like that, and just brush off the fact that there is a sick person in your home. Maybe it is time for you to invest in solar power.

Sounds like a challenge. Glad your power has been restored, We are welcoming our first warm days....it has been slow coming. We might achieve 80°F today (27°C).
