Can Life be any better?

It is natural for us to yearn for a better life. It could be by way of more comforts, predictability, disease free, fewer inequalities etc.
However, when I think about the various possibilities, I come to a conclusion life here is as good as we allow it to be. We are in the Goldilocks zone, neither too good nor too bad. At least we are surviving, calling all the shots, able to coexist though after reaching the brink at times.
If we want it to be on a higher plane, then we have to work towards that goal. Now it is setting the fire and trying to put it out. We make weapons of mass destruction and big powers make a business out of it. Then we lament that they have fallen into the “wrong hands”.
We find fulfilment spending money after earning it ourselves. If someone has bequeathed wealth there is an element of guilt to spend those that happened to land on our lap. Likewise, we mature as a species, prove our mettle, when we utilize our initiative, talents, and work towards our goal.
We should have a common goal and lay a firm foundation. Let us have an inclusive approach without borders. The goal of 99% is clear enough, peace and freedom. That means they have to assert to achieve this simple objective.
Yes, life can be better but then it is up to us; if we bemoan still, we are being unfair to our creator.
What is your take to get us out of the rut we find ourselves in once and for all? Have we not been given enough and more to have a ball of a time here?
We are given all the tools and materials to challenge ourselves to own the universe; what else we need then?

That is the problem, people want more and more and more, when they already have it all.

Hi Siva. We are given all the resources we need but we always look for something more.

I guess that is a part of human nature. When we are able to get what we want, we look for something more and better to satisfy us,

Actually, I was just thinking about this topic this morning. Why is it that there are some people who seem to have so much while others are struggling. I still have no idea! Sometimes it just doesn't seem fair.

We should do much better in this regard.
I feel we are hypocrites ignoring inconvenient truths staring at us.
This planet is given to us all and not for the few to corner it and lord over others.
When we create artificial borders, we will not have peace of mind.
It is time to address inequalities rather than expect our creator to do what we should be doing in the first place, After all, we created the mess - siva

For some life is terrible.
Sick family members, no housing, little food or medical attention.
We can all help in some way.

“...Who could refrain,
That had a heart to love, and in that heart
Courage to make love known?”
William Shakespeare, Macbeth
Life will only get better for us, when we love more, and when we have the courage to make our love known to others, as the bard says here.

We need to learn to share our cheese with others, not be greedy, and eat it all ourselves.

@Shiva49 Why do we allow ourselves to be like this though?
When sin entered the world, karma also entered, and the worlds of duality were then created as well, because all was love in its oneness before, but now there was choice, and two or more sides to each choice.
The greatest choice is to choose love, but God never compels you to make this choice, but to want to make it yourself, from knowledge-based wisdom, which does not grow on trees, but grows slowly in you to fruition, as much as you eventually respond to the love reigning down upon you continually from every experience you have.
God's love will eventually get through to every soul, and individual, no matter how long it takes to do so.
Love never gives up trying, and neither does God. Love always wins out in the end.

@innertalks That is a positive and logical take, Steve.
God gives us the choices and the inner knowing but it is up to us to choose our path.
History has taught us, our ancestors have trodden different paths to enlighten us, but we do not seem to get it.
I feel it is ego and greed that stand against us from choosing the path of love.
We still try to upstage others, take shortcuts, for material gains at the cost of those who are upright.
The law of karma, cause and effect, will always prevail.
We should know by now what seeds to sow for our overall upliftment.
Let us think of inclusiveness and overcome our tendency to deny others what we cherish - siva

As the things with us increases, so our greed to have more. We cannot reach the level of satisfaction in any way.
