V for Vendetta

Never really encountered the word 'Vendetta' until I watched that movie (2005). I was so impressed with the movie and the plot that when I met a young guy on the train today, I recognized right at once his terrific (= very good) attempt in recreating Guy Fawkes mask. It was truly incredible the way he left his hair long (the three Musketeer's style) with eyebrows and interesting beard/moustache exactly as if he had used that mask. I was so in awe that I almost asked him for his autograph . The guy was a bit short however. Perhaps he was on the way to doing a play at some theatres? Now that I think back, he was wearing some costume so like that of the three Musketeers' (minus the long sword)... How is your weekend so far? --- Guy Fawkes mask (image) from Pixabay

Hi Darcy. I imagine how he looks like. Such an attractive guy perhaps.

I was so amused of the curling moustache... I had to keep a straight face the whole time.

@YrNemo If you ever listened to the Italian Opera Rigoletto, one of the aria is "si vendetta tremenda vendetta" (yes, revenge, terrible revenge).

I met that word in the past only in books, but hardly ever any where else. Sounds very dramatic that word.

I resisted that movie for quite a while, just disliked the word vendetta. I had to please my husband that time, watching it. An incredible movie I think.

Mama mia, you are serious! Oh no... (I almost married a Sicilian too, but he promised me many children if I married him, and I was frightened! )

If I get mad with anyone, the maximum I would go for is the first part of that anger: just V (I am too forgetful even to get mad with people!)

@ridingbet his beard did the task (it was a very thick one, curving just like that, very amusing).

that guy didn't wear a mask, he had eyebrows, beards, moustache exactly like that, thick and very curly moustache, quite funny too (but he was very proud of it).

He is only about 1.64m in height! But he got a good looking and strong/dominant face (very Spanish looking by the way). For some reason, I thought of the Three Musketeers + The mask of Zoro.

That word occurs in my historical romances. I have to check out that movie. The masked figure is certainly mysterious
