Brinjals from my garden patch

We have a small patch on our apartment complex. I've been pretty unsuccessful at most attempts to grow anything there, but the brinjal plans have started yielding brinjals after a lot of trial and error. Here's a picture of them with some curry leaves. What veggies are easy to grow?

I've never heard of this veggie. Could you explain the taste? I think tomatoes are somewhat straight forward to grow.

I've just planted some tomatoes. Last time they didn't even germinate. Brinjals are also called eggplants. Have you seen those? The ones I have are shades purple and white. Some are fully purple
