As many of you know this weekend marked Canada's 151st year of Confederation. (An established country of unified Provinces and Territories)
It was a fun weekend of events all over the Country and in my part of the country that means Halifax. It ended last night with a spectacular display of fireworks over the harbour. This weekend is the first of 3 summer long weekends in Canada and with each holiday comes fireworks. The next will be the 1st weekend of August where each township in Canada has their own celebration honoring their city or town. In Halifax we call it "Natal Day".
The third is the Labor Day weekend on the first week of September. This is the holiday that ends the summer season and shortly afterward the schools reopen for another year. I added a video of the fireworks display over the harbour this weekend. Enjoy!

Hi Lucinda. That is amazing! A lot of holidays for you. Is Halifax far from Toronto?

@Starmaiden Wow! That is really far. I have friends and relative there. Also in BC. Hope I can get to go there in Canada.

Halifax is 1793 kms (1114 miles) from Toronto. It's about a 17 hour drive non stop.

@Plethos I gotta tell ya. While I was studying acting (in Canada) my instructors were constantly correcting my speech. I couldn't recite my lines using my Canadian accent. I was expected to deliver them with the American accent or pronunciations. Every class felt like a scene right out of the Flintstones.

Our go to place for fireworks didn't have it this year so we found another where we just drove up and parked and watched some spectacular fireworks.
