well do you celebrate the 4th of july or is it just another day ???? we don't do much any more... the city has a fire work show that you can sit outside at night and see some fireworks in the sky but that is about all we do any more...i hope everyone has a great 4th of july tomorrow /////////////

I find the day starting to get obnoxious because it once again is not about the holiday and celebrating the birth of your country, but gives people the excuse to shoot freaking fireworks off all night because they like loud bangs. Then what they have left overs they shoot off at various times through out the rest of the year till the next 4th and do it even more the following year. I think 2/3 of this year had, some sort of fireworks going off at some point of the night waking you up, or scaring the crap out of you. I hate people. On a positive not was invited to a BBQ, but not sure if I am feeling it this year.

Well, we used to "celebrate" when I was growing up, as we would all wake up around 6am and head to a parade about 45minutes away by 630, then we'd play at the playground that the school we parked at had until about 830-9, then we'd walk down to the candy shop and get a bag of candy each to eat during the parade.. afterwards, we'd go to my great-uncles for a family cookout, then go swimming at the pond for about two hours, and get pizza when we got home, then hang out til fireworks at night.. Now, it all depends on if my mom is working, and if we have kids to take to the parade or not. but besides the parade, we only do the pizza and fireworks now. although we didn't do a thing last year. We're still trying to figure out what we're doing tomorrow.
