Good evening. Dinner is done, dogs already fed, desktop off, and now I am seated in front of the television watching Day 5 of the Wimbledon tennis tournament. My idol Rafael won the 2nd round last night in 3 straight sets, so was Roger Federer too. It will be spectacular watching these 2 great players in the finals.
The game in the picture has Monfils playing with Querrey. It is only Monfils who I know; the other one is unknown to me
It is amusing to hear some tennis players shout when they hit the ball. Rafa has his distinct shout. Some have their own unique shouts too. I also hear a shouting moan or a shouting "heeeehhh", A female tennis player has the "hiiiihhh" shout too .
Well, I believe by shouting they gather their energy to hit the ball.

@LadyDuck RF is really a cool guy. i liked him when he was still a little stouter, when he was still chubby. now, because he has a family, he is fitter and moves swiftly.
hahaha! maybe Rafa is a noisy player because Spaniards would shout OLE when they dance?

Roger F does not shout, but Rafa does. i think RF is through to the 3rd round. tonight will be Rafa's 3rd round too.

oh, maybe we can shout aahhh when we get hit by the police during rallies, which i think, some people pay for the rallyists and then get paid as well.

oh yes, really! like how a Williams player shouts/moans? and there is Maris Sharapova whose shout i believe, is like somebody who is controlling the bowel sphincter.

@ridingbet I usually watch the Olympics sports like gymnastics and figure skating. I sometimes watch tennis, but I kept forgetting it's on.

@JESSY3236 the semi-finals match between Rafa and Novak was suspended because it was already 11PM. i saw the last shot of Nadal that erred that is why Novak won the 3rd set after a tie-breaking game with the score of 11-9. i hope Nadal recovers soon. the match will continue tonight after the finals game of women

I remember when I was still active in sports. I played volleyball and table tennis. We also made those sounds and sometimes, players sound funny. I think that is to release the energy so that you can hit the ball stronger...

table tennis? yes, i observe players hitting that small white ball with their energy shown with their loud shouts and big movements as well. i wonder how fats their eyes are in following that ball.
so, were you the champion in table tennis when you were still studying, hija?
volleyball is also one sport i played when i was in college. also basketball. lawn tennis when i was in Kuwait.

@ridingbet no ate.. I never became the champion in table tennis in our school. When we were in high school, we just played. Our school was not really into sports tournaments.
And when I was in college, I wanted to become a varsity player but I had to focus with my studies. The only benefit I will get was to have a scholarship which I already have at that time so I thought it's better not to join anymore.

I used to like tennis as a youngster but slowly have lost track and also interest. Husband would have definitely watched it but this time FIFA fever took away all the attention of his.

yes, FIFA is it. but i think the season of different games shown on TV changes the likes of people watching. basketball, when it is the NBA season, i think many will bet on their favorite teams to win the title.

i hope so, hija, that the 2 friends RF and Rafa will play against each other on Finals, next Sunday.
