Of birthdays and thunderstorms

It was my nephew’s first birthday yesterday and as promised, here is a photo of the Boss Baby theme cake his Birthday Cake Aunt (me) sponsored for him. Isn’t he cute? His head is as big and as bald (kinda) as the Boss Baby himself. He actually looked like him. Or vice versa. Anyway I’ve been waiting for the rest of the photos (I live by the pictures they send me). My sister-in-law said she uploaded the pictures on FB( it is what it is) but it didn’t come thru. Apparently FB is having some problems (and yet again). They had a simple children’s party and minutes after the parlor games, it started raining cats and dogs. Poor guests who got wet (they had the party outside my mother’s house). But some people say it’s a blessing when it rains on your birthday. That’s what I hope for my nephew- a blessed and healthy life from now and thereafter. Has it ever rained on your birthday?

Nope as far as I remember. Since rain is a blessing , Im hoping as early as now to have a rainy birthdays to come.

@cttolledo right! Which reminds me of an FB post where a woman was trying to solicit money from her kumare for her kid’s birthday’s clown. Anyway the kumare declined and the woman got mad and wrote bad words. Well if you can’t afford a party, why have one? Hehe

The cake is fabulous, and I was able to see your precious little nephew in the photo. I've had so many birthdays that I'm positive it must have rained at least once.

Old folks say so. The rain shouldn’t dampen the occasion since it’s a blessing from up above. I grew up in a flood prone area so I don’t like rain. Hehe
