Stomach upsets are real and they can make you so uncomfortable. Today morning I woke up with some and my DIY is always to take black tea with ginger. Within 30 minutes its gone.
I hear people taking drugs for stomach upsets and I find that it is unnecessary. How do you get rid of these issues?

I don't experience stomach upset anymore because I now avoid food combinations I know my stomach cant handle. I also have a high fiber diet.

it depends on the source of my stomach upset. if it has borborygmus (tummy rumbles), then maybe i am hungry so i eat. if i feel like visiting the restroom, i go to empty my bowels. if i regurgitate, possibility is i have hyperacidity.

@aureliah but it is true. having a stomach upset, the person should know the source of the ache. a proper management should be done to eliminate the discomfort.

I would prefer to have some curds or yoghurt and prefer to give some rest to my stomach for few hours before I feel comfortable. But then we must remember that every time such home remedies may not work as stomach upset can be because of several reasons!

That's good to hear your fine right having your tea. Ginger is really good in cases like this one.

Drinking warm mint tea usually takes care of any stomach upset that I have, but that doesn't work for my daughter.
For my daughter I mix up jello gelatin using one cup hot water and stir until dissolved and then add one cup cold water, just like I am making jello for eating. Instead of refrigerating the mix though, Pretty takes sips of it until it is gone. (It will stay liquid for quite a while if you are careful not to let it get too cold.)
The gelatin coats the inside of the stomach. It calms and soothes it.

@aureliah You're welcome.
Yeah, not all people are alike in many ways. Different things cause us to react in different ways.

I was going to suggest ginger tea. It is good for a lot of things. My daughter makes ginger tea and freezes it into icecubes. She has four kids and someone always seems to have an upset stomach. Peppermint tea is also very good.

Vinegar water and honey form an old remedy of my Grandmother. It sounds bad but when you need it, it is not so bad. About 1/2 cup water, teaspoon of vinegar and as much honey as you need to make it bearable. ha! About 2 teaspoons is what I use.

That is a new remedy but at least it works and these ingredients are readily available in the kitchen
