It is okay not to be okay. Would you say you're okay even if you feel you are not?

Yes, I always answer"I am okay" when I am calling my mother and she asked about me here in Baguio, I am not really okay because I miss them always .

@id_peace Well yes I do believe that it's only good to let them know if they are close to us. Surely we don't want to be the talk of the town if we share a lot of our personal lives.

@LadyDuck yeah I understand that too. But maybe if we are not really good then at least we can reply too like "not so good" Well I guess with friends we can say that right?

@chavezrmc It depends which friends and under which circumstances. If it's a simple "hello" in the street I always say "I am okay".

@LadyDuck Yeah. Because sometimes we need to just reply, and that is the easierst reply we can give.. And we don't want further talks or conversations.

People do ask me how I am and I say ok. They then say please just say you are fine. I can't say that because I have days I am ok and days I am not.

Well, I'm not like that, I am very vocal but I have friends who are like that. That's they're very prone to conflicts because of misunderstanding

I am always here, never forget that. Though my hours is not consistent on my onlne activities I hold you as a dear friend as always and I do miss you too. I always say that almost automatically especially when there's no obvious reason that's makes me not okay. Even deep inside everything about me is going wrong, I just say to other people "I'm Okay".

@simplfred Yeah seems automatic to us. I am contemplating that most of the time we are always saying that to everyone who's asking us. I don't understand as well why we often do. lol.

I would say.. umm.... just about 99% of the time I will say I'm okay when I'm not.
mostly to not-so-close friends\family.
since I was very young I always kinda hid and didn't show the real me.
the only one that knows me for real and I always say what i actual feel is my mom.

If it is a person I don't know that well I just say that I am okay. If a close friend asks I tell them the truth if I am not okay.

I always say I'm fine, I'm okay. Not all those who ask "Are you okay?" needs to know I'm not and every time someone asks "Are you okay?" I don't have to say I'm not.
