Ten Albums "Everybody" Owned -- Except Me: Frampton Comes Alive!

One thing you'll notice as I go through these ten "classic" albums is that not only did I fail to buy the "big one," I never owned anything else by them. There is one exception to that rule, and I'll highlight them when we get to them. Meanwhile, here's the next mega-monster album that I had nothing to do with the success of. Frampton Comes Alive! - Peter Frampton Nope, I didn't get it. Was I too young? Too sick of hearing "Do You Feel Like We Do"? Too aware that his follow-up album would see people abandon him like the Mary Celeste? (One of my favorite trivia questions is "what was the name of Frampton's follow-up to Frampton Comes Alive!?" People who profess to be fans of Frampton's can't answer it! [Answer: I'm In You, 1977, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard album charts and spawned a top ten hit...then promptly got trampled on the Studio 54 dance floor.]) But man, were all the girls in my high school bananas over Frampton, his long blondish hair, and his looks. (If you haven't seen Peter lately, he's bald.) Me? I had Paul McCartney all over my walls, like any respectable 15-year-old girl who was born ten years too late for the Beatles. Of course, Frampton's fall from superstardom can probably be tied to his appearance in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Anyway, Frampton survived his sudden success, and his equally sudden fall, and is back to his "cult star" status. He's a Nashvillian now. Maybe I'll see him at the next concert I attend down there! I just won't have a copy of this album for him to sign. Frampton Comes Alive! Recorded by Peter Frampton Produced by Peter Frampton Released in 1976 I like this song, but not enough to buy the album:
PETER FRAMPTON SHOW ME THE WAY (LIVE MIDNIGHT SPECIAL 1975

I did not have the album but had the 45 for Show Me the Way which is a favorite song from that era. For a brief moment, Frampton was king of the music universe and yes it was the hair! Posters of Paul McCartney? Fess up, it was posters of Bobby Sherman!

Bobby who? He was in a TV show when he was really popular in, I don't know, 71 or 72 (about the same time as David Cassidy). I remember the theme song ("the bluest skies you've ever seen are in Seattle"), but other than that I don't know a thing about the show. I do like the song "Hey Little Woman," though.

@myklj999 -- that was the TV show. The song was "Seattle."

Ahh, one that I actually like but never had. I'm not sure why I never had the album, I just never got it. Maybe I should put it on a list for albums I should buy.
