If you have a dog, you probably get "hints" from him/her when it's time to do something. My dog Angel, as I think I've said, spends a lot of time on my bed, like she was a moment ago as I sat here at the computer. However, it's past time for me to feed her, and she has since gotten off of my bed and left the room. In other words: "Hey, it's past my dinner time! Come feed me, already!" I just heard her panting out in the hallway, as she's no doubt waiting for me to get a move on. So, I'd better get to it !

They are perfect alarm clocks, if you start by feeding them at 6am and 6pm you'll never need a clock in the mornings to get up and of course in the evenings you'll know when the news is on.

Daylight Savings time throws it off til they get used to it, though.

Oh, yes-the dogs here know exactly when they are supposed to eat and are sure to pester us until they get what they want! We have one dog similar to yours, the others are smaller.

Luna is an outside dog. But exactly at her feeding time she comes to the glass door in my room and starts whining.

My cat yells at me when it's dinner time, and won't stop until I feed him.

@xstitcher I do not have a dog anymore but my cat lets me know that it is time to feed her. She will talk up a storm telling me it is time for her to eat.

My sister's dog when she wants to go the bathroom outside, she will place her nose on my leg as a way of saying to me "Time to go the bathroom outside."
