I Finally Found It

I've been looking at all the documents I could find online, and finally found the two missing documents, Scarred and Freedom's Cry, that I thought were completely lost except for older versions of them. I can finally breathe easy, and know I don't need to completely revise the older documents.
I found them in a zipped folder in my document downloads. How they got there, I have no idea. I'm just glad I found them, and don't need to rework them again. My plan for the series is to get new covers on Manifest Destiny and Stowaway, go over them, editing them as necessary, and bring all four out in a final edition.
However, that's on hold while I get Thread of Evidence ready to publish, and that one has a lot of work ahead of it yet.
Have you lost something you never expected to find again, but did? Thanks for reading.

Thank you. I've been going through all my documents, and decided to look at my downloads. I went through them a couple times and just decided to check out those zip folders. I had no idea what was in them. I don't even know how they got into a zip folder. I found a lot of documents there, not just the missing ones.

Oh yes, my hubby's wedding ring. It was in my jewelry box, since it is already loose on his finger.
One time, when I took out my wedding ring, hurrying to go to the office, his ring also came with my ring and it went rolling into the floor. I told hubby to find it because I might be late for work. He wasn't able to find it.
Many months after, I found it under the linoleum when I cleaned the underneath of it. Whew!

Yes, but I like to have a finished copy of my book in my documents. I've been unable to find either of them for quite a long time. I want to get new covers on the second and third books. They're generic and I'm not happy with them. There's also a problem with the contents page with Freedom's Cry. So, yes, I want to go over them once more, and bring them all out in a final edition.
I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my writing, and probably the only area I'm OCD in. Many authors bring their books out in several editions. I want the right covers for them. I'm only happy with the first and last book covers.
