Kids everywhere

We are at the birthday party. There are screaming children everywhere. My nerves are shot. Even a couple of Coronas haven’t helped the situation. My cousin’s wife shared the good news that she is 11 weeks pregnant. They have been trying for years so I am very happy for them. My mother’s best friend hired an ice cream truck to come. That was a huge hit with everyone. Some of the men went up twice and even 3 times.

I got a vanilla cone with chocolate dip. I haven’t had one of those in like 20 years. It was tasty. I’m about ready to head out. I’ve had enough enjoyment of the little ones for the day.

Fortunately, my daughter Claudia (the only one who still has a young kid) does not invite me to those parties. She invites the "old people" to her house for tea and Sofia blows candles. Then she has a big party with her classmates and no Grandma or aunts.

I used to enjoy being at my best friend's birthday parties that his parents had for him every year when we were both little kids back then.

I think it was $275 for the hour for unlimited ice cream. It was the hit of the party. Well worth the cost.
