Getting a new washing machine delivered but don't know the delivery time

My parents got me a new washing machine and it is supposed to be delivered to my house tomorrow. It will be installed as well. I asked them what time the delivery will happen but they have no idea. No one told them. And they didn't call to find out either.
This means the delivery can happen at any time. I can't leave the house because I have no idea when they will come. And I can't sleep late either in case they decide to show up in the morning.
I cannot believe that my parents were not told what time the delivery will happen.This is not right and unprofessional.
When a delivery is scheduled for a certain date, for something that can't just be left at the door and has to be installed, a specific delivery time has to be set up. It doesn't necessarily have to be an exact time, like noon for example. It can be a window of a few hours, like 12 pm - 2 pm. And then that info has to be provided to the customer, so they can plan their day accordingly, especially if they have to go to work.

You'd therefore be wasting much of your time for the wait. The actual installation could very well be more or less an hour or so.

I will have to get up early tomorrow, just in case they come early. But if they come later in the day then it's gonna be upsetting that I had to get up early for nothing.

They have to remove the old machine first and then install the new one. I don't think that will take a long time. I would prefer they deliver it sometime before noon, so I have the rest of the day free and don't have to sit home and wait...

So I hope you have plenty to do at home waiting for them to come. I hope you do not have to wait all day and they show up in the morning if that is what you want.

My dad called me and told me that he contacted them in the morning and they said they will come Thursday instead. But they didn't tell him what time. Go figure. I told him to find out.

I hope you did not end up having the waste the day because they did not come. I hope he found out the time for you. Here they usually come between certain hours and you pick which one you want so you still have to sit around and wait because not sure what time slot you are in or they may come early if they are in your area.

That's right. And to my luck it may arrive much later in the day. Though i hope that won't happen. And my dad wants to be here when they come but he has no idea when he should get to my house because he doesn't know when they are coming.

I can't do that because I don't know who to call or what the number is or the order number, if there was any. Plus, it's already late. My dad should be able to do that tomorrow morning, if he has the receipt on him. Though I doubt he will call.

I am. I was hoping they'd replace the dryer as well because it's old. But it's not cheap and the old one still works, so they want to wait until it stops working to get a new one.
