I can't understand how, some people who refuse to work, have the nerve to make vacation plans, they want to go every where but they, don't have any money to do anything, this is how my great niece is, she is talking about where she wants to go, what she want to do, she has drops out of high school, and I don't see a future for her anywhere, maybe she knows something I don't know,.these young people think they can quit a job, and another one will be waiting for them, right there that is not always the case, a lot of these jobs now want to know, if you finished high school and if, you haven't they will not hire you.

I was always taught to do my best at work, to always give a two weeks notice when quitting and that sometimes you had to put your head down until the tough stuff passed you by.
I have quit jobs without a two weeks notice before and I regretted it every time but the last. The last time I left without giving a two weeks it was because they had wrung me dry. I couldn't take anymore and my emotional and physical health was suffering because of the job. I did intend to put in a two weeks and I actually DID write one and leave it where the manager would see it. I just never worked it because of extenuating circumstances but also because pf the way I was treated and how much I had had enough.
Even so, I do realize how this might impact my future career.
I've been taught never to ask for hand outs and never to expect more than is within your means. I don't make frivolous purchases and I've even squeezed every last drop out of an item before purchasing it's replacement.
I have an acquaintance who used to be a friend. She does not have a job and has not had one in years. She does sell baked goods and some of her own clothes and perfumes. Her husband works three jobs to support her lifestyle as well as pay the bills. I can't understand how they are still together. I don't believe her business (selling of confectionaries and perfumes) is doing very well.
