The codine situation

I did a little research last night about the codeine situation and getting your prescription drugs from the pharmacy. You can do a lot of tracking to a foreign country on that. They believe that we can buy the stuff right off the shelf! We can't get it through their thick noggins that we have to get a prescription! Due to my amount of pain I get over 100 small 10 mg pills a month. It's less than 130 so you would think you could get them from the pharmacy easily and the whole BLAMED prescription. Last month I suggested that we try doing half by computer so it was ready when I got to the pharmacy and half would be written so I could just walk in and get it. Yeah right! I ended up WAY less than my prescribed amount and finally figured that is why I got so sick. Not only is my prescription for regular daily pain it also is controlling my migraines! Come on America, get with it! It isn't the prescription takers that are causing the drug problem! I was told by a girl I work with at an antique store that she can get $10 a pill if she sells them on the street. I had to hide my medication with the owner of the store because the girl was caught going for the pills in my purse. I'm sorry but this doesn't cut it! I am sooooo tired of getting shorted and then told "We can't refill on opioids!" It's either that or wait two weeks and hope. I am darned careful with my medications and when my house burned down last October 2nd I had a devil of a time replacing my medications! I almost had to bring a note from the Fire Captain! That really helped that situation. But the point is most adults are responsible people that are NOT going to abuse their medications. It's time we're treated like responsible adults and allowed to live a semblance of a normal pain limited life! Take that bureaucrats!

Now we have to jump through hoops to get the medicine that we need. They declared that there is an opioid crisis so now people who really need them can't get them and they keep making the rules stricter. A lot of people will be in pain so they can say they did something about the crisis. People will still steal it from others. I have been shorted at the pharmacy more than once.
