Of course that number will go up. I am referring to how many books I have "bought" recently. You will see pictured the book that I reading now. Refresh The Page if it doesn't show up at first. This one I will finish shortly and then it is just a matter of which one I will read next. Of course there's also the ones I have on my kindle device and more that I intend to get for my kindle device. I can finish a book within a few days depending on it's length and how enthralled I am with it. I am not sure whether I want to read something with a historic theme to it or stay modern and read something thrilling. That is one complaint I have with the store I have been patronizing lately. It doesn't have a proper historical fiction section. It has "Historical Romance" but anything else "historical" is just lumped in depending on the genre. In the photo "Thanks Kinky" refers to the doctor's housemaid and nurse. Her name is Mrs. Kincaid. What are you currently reading? Do you switch between genres or exhaust a genre before going on to another?

I just finished reading Dark Tower VI: Song of Susannah by Stephen King. I will start Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower tomorrow. Yeah I do switch genres. After the Dark Tower series, I'm reading a YA book and the newest book from Dan Brown. Then I hope to listen to the Harry Potter book series and do another book to movie marathon.

I'm sorry the store you're buying your books from doesn't have a good selection of genre's. Right now, I'm more focused on finishing a book, rather than reading one. I usually read between book projects.

@just4him An author of Victorian era fiction gets her ideas from fiction and other books written in the actual era. If you ever have a chance I suggest you look her up. "This Victorian Life." She and her husband live life as the Victorians did.

@anamika161088 Oh I see. I can read a book in two days depending on the length of it. I have finished it in one day before as well. I don't remember how long it took me to read The Da Vinci Code but I did read it several years ago.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes. I have been shifted to reading articles more. I get little time to read and that too in small slots. I enjoy reading books in one go and if I don't get this much time straight, I don't start a book. I read D Vinci Code in a go.. I was awake for a whole night to finish the book

I have a friend who reads almost exclusively fantasy. I don't really read it myself unless there is a theme I like. I know you've told me why you don't read anymore but have you thought of subscribing to audible or a service like it?

@ScribbledAdNauseum It's more of showing the effects of bad and good leadership and what makes a leader worth following.

I keep changing my mind. I think I might reread "A Reliable Wife" because if I dont' finish it by the day of my trip, atleast I won't be stopping in the middle of a book I haven't read. I am peculiar about that. I get fidgety if I can't finish a book and it's getting good.

@Marilynda1225 Exactly and I know how I am. I might be having fun elsewhere but I'd get moody on the down time when I could be reading the book. I'm not taking any books with me on the mini vacation because I know I'd forget them.

I saw "And Then There Were None" at the shop I go to the other day. I put it in my basket but then put it back on the shelf. I love the 1940's movie based on the novel and don't want to ruin the movie because of the book. I know that sounds really silly. It's either V.C. Andrews or Agatha Christie but I read a book once and had to put it down halfway through. It was just too.. too much. I can't recall the exact plot line but I could probably find it again if I wanted to. I have considered doing that and seeing if I would like it now. I only bring this up because there are plenty of V.C. Andrews and Agatha Christie books at the shop I go to. Oh and what Agatha Christie book are you reading?

@MarymargII I watched a Miss Marple series not too long ago. I love those mystery / detective shows. Especially when the British pick it up to put their spin on it.

I want to find a book historical piece to read but I am not quite sure what genre or what era yet. I almost picked up a regency fiction book today but decided not to. It was a detective type novel. I think I am going to have to put "The Whole Towns Talking' On my to be read list.

Recently, I borowed Mastering Cortisol and The Cortisol Connection Diet from the library. I simply have not gotten a chance to get started on the two.

I don't pay much mind to the diet books myself. I am trying to follow a diet plan but it's more about things I personally need to avoid eating. Soy products, too many friend foods and sodas. I had thought to try the Keto Diet or the whole30 diet.

@Spontaneo I haven't looked into it thoroughly myself. I believe Keto is more about deprivation of something which puts our bodies into a ketosis state.

I've seen that book in the store I go to and am tempted to pick it up one day. It's one of the more expensive" ones though and since I set a budget for myself on spending there I will have to wait.
