Friday Night Date Night!

We are going to out dinner for our usual Friday night date night. We’ve been doing this for years and years, and the funny thing is that both of our married sons do the same thing! I love it!
I’m all showered and made up. All I have to do is put on my new sundress and strappy heels, jewelry, and a spritz of perfume.
Tonight will be a romantic dinner. We are taking the convertible and have reservations on the deck at our favorite seafood restaurant overlooking the water. They also have a live band, which my hubs and I love.
Tomorrow night is friends night.

@DianneN I wish I had a great voice. Always wanted to be a singer but I wasn't gifted with that voice at all. Good to know you had a great time.

Thanks. He prefers his carrots cooked. We had a wonderful time. It was a great night for the convertible and sitting outdoors. I couldn't believe that I knew one of the band members. I taught with her years ago. What a super voice she has!!!!

@DianneN I think the fact that they follow in your foot steps with date night is evidence enough that they listened well enough when you were teaching them things. Sometimes it's just a matter of leading by example.

It is a perfect night for a romantic waterfront dinner. We had leftovers lol But hubs were prime rib, not a bad leftover and I finished off my potato salad. I am sure I don't need to tell you to enjoy yourself.

Tonight is special for sure. Its Apollo Day, as hubby made sure I knew. Its the anniversary of the landing on the moon. He's an engineer graduate so this is a big sneeze. We're taking a friend to dinner. You sound like you will be very nicely dressed. I'm not dressing too much more than usual though I will put on other slacks than the rather weary ones that I've got on now.

This is a wonderful thing, it's great that both your sons are doing it too . Me and my wife, we try to do something similar, but we barely find some time available. This will change .

That sounds romantic and fun. I wish someday I could do that with my mom but my mom does not like eating in a restaurant because it is expensive. She prefers us to eat at home rather than going out. I think perhaps it is because she cannot have a long walk too so she does not like going out.
