Ordered the wrong product online

Previously I told you that I was ordering a smartphone online for a not so tech savvy person. I cannot think how I can be so careless that I ordered a different smartphone which doesn't match the exact model that the person wanted. These days smartphone manufacturers are launching models rapidly with a teeny bit variation in specs and looks and puzzling us customers.Though this device is almost good as his desired model and a bit less pricey, he refused to take it.Amazon declined to take it back and let me buy the correct handset. I am stuck with this phone now..... arrrgh!!!!!!

@amitkokiladitya I called Amazon call centre executives from their app and they are declining to take it back..... saying that if I return it I will again get the same model

So sorry to hear about it. I haven't experienced it yet and I think if that happens to me too I will feel frustrated. I hope that you can figure out what is the best thing to do on the smartphone that you bought online.

I am really surprised that Amazon didn't accept that. I guess it must be something they don't sell directly. I've never had a problem with them though my husband had an order once that got quite tricky due to one of the sellers working through Amazon having a really expensive returns policy.

@Sojourn That's the problem. Often I've found that they still give refunds even under those circumstances. That's really frustrating you're left with the phone but your friend should be paying for it and accepting that you did your best not just leaving you with the cost and frustration.
