Cats and Hammocks

I spent a lot of this afternoon in my hammock in the garden. We used to have a FABULOUS hammock. It had a big wooden frame and an enormous hammock that could hold two people, a few cats and a picnic, all in relative stability. Sadly the frame was the subject of a manufacturer's recall - all because a few people left them out all winter and the frames snapped causing horrific spinal injuries. Damn shame; it was a fantastic hammock frame.
The new one is nothing like as good and is highly unstable and holds just one person in a position that's almost guaranteed to wobble. I took a couple of pillows so I could read relatively comfortably and invited two of my cats to join me.
Bagheera seemed to quite like it but managed to fall out twice - luckily not taking me with him but leaving everything rather wobbly. His little brother Milo had a quick cuddle and then jumped out.
My most faithful hammock companion was Ben, my neighbour's cat. He's the only cat that's welcomed in our garden and accepted by all three of my cats. He didn't stay in the hammock for long but curled up near-by as if waiting for me to fall out and do myself a mischief at which point he'd run off and get help.
The only girl cat, Daisy, stayed indoors on the bed, happy to lie on something that didn't move or wobble.
Do you have a hammock or enjoy a bit of hammocking?

Our dog's name was Bhagira. He lived for fourteen years.
I had bought a hammock from Singapore. I gifted it to my nephew who had come to visit us with his wife. They live in the USA.
I have relaxed in a hammock in the Bahamas while on my holiday there. It was a cruise - a part of my US holiday package.

@allknowing It makes sense that my black cat is called Bagheera, especially as he looks like a little panther. But it's unusual to give a dog a cat's name.

NO hammock but we do have a garden swing thing which has been a really great investment but nearly time to change it as it has become too worn. It certainly has had it uses and great for nursing crying babies on it too!
