What plant is this? Is it a weed?

I've been trying to plant some flowering plants and veggies quite unsuccessfully. Because I use loose soil from around the apartment sometimes weeds grow in the pot. After a few weeks of trying, this suddenly started growing in one of the pots. I can't remember what seeds I put in here. Is this a plant or a weed? Can anyone help me.

It looks like a vegetable to me. I am no expert so I am just guessing. Maybe others know for sure.You could just keep it and see what it turns into.

It doesn't look like a weed, weeds grow very fast and most have red in the roots. I would let it grow and see what happens

That seems to be the best suggestion. I'll do that and maybe update after a while when I figure out what it is.
