i used gmail account five day in a week to log in orkut,,,,,its a friendly community system.

I've got a g-mail account, but only because I got sent one of those (then) exclusive 'invitations' to open one; I used it briefly for all those 'sign-up-so-we-can-send-you-spam-emails-aswell-as-let-you-see-the-members-section-of-the-site' things, but then fergot all about it.. so no, I don't use G-mail everyday ..probably only once every couple of month, just to clear it out a bit, and then leave it for a while :)

Yes, its part of my routine. I even spend some couple of hours answering and sending emails. I need to do this in order to sustain my net presence. You can make profit by sending emails too. Try it.
