Israel - an apartheid state ?

In Jerusalem this week Israel passed a law on Thursday to declare that only Jews have the right of self-determination in the country, something members of the Arab minority called racist and verging on apartheid. Very few Western news networks have even mentioned it. The Jewish majority parliament got the vote through 62-55, no doubt empowered to do so with Tump's growing support for the Nation state of Israel. Its largely symbolic and the law was enacted just after the 70th anniversary of the birth of the state of Israel. It states that "Israel is the historic homeland of the Jewish people and they have an exclusive right to national self-determination in it.". It was not mentioned at the UN either. Its very antagonistic and some feel its the first step towards separation of the Arab minority that live an work in Israel. Amendments to the law were dropped very late on tat would allow Israelis to live separate from Palestinian and Arabs.

Sounds quite complicated to me. I hope they can settle their differences.
