Why have we lost our patience?

It seems to me that us humans generally get too angry out of non-important things. For example, when driving a car in a city, most drivers get angry at someone who made a small mistake like not paying attention when the traffic light became green and it was time to move on. It is ok to give him a flash or a small horn to make him understand that the traffic light is green now and that he should start moving but it is not ok to press the horn like crazy and swear like crazy due to some of that. Another example is when the traffic is jammed, really crowded and people get angry and try to get more in front trying to get home about two minutes earlier if they stayed where they were before trying to force things in their favor. And when they can't get more in front they start using their horn in anger without any reason. My question is why is this happening? Why do we lose our temper? Why did we lose our patience? How can we stop being stressed / frustrated? Does anyone know?

I totally know what you mean. And not only in traffic, but almost in every aspect of life. To me it seems that today we have more and more things that are supposed to make our life easier, but instead they just take more and more of our time. We are assaulted with information every second of the day and our brain works under continuous stress. The result: we have less patience and get angry easily, that's what I think.

But some people get angry over nothing in my opinion.

@Cristi_Ichim it seems so. But to them it probably means a lot, everything is relative. I see many people getting angry over something silly or so irrelevant that you wonder what's wrong with them. If they are someone I know, I always tell them: "I understand why you act like this, but I don't agree with it.". And I try to explain them why they are overreacting, giving examples and situations. Some understand what I say, but most of them don't .

too many people on the earth. any creature, including humans will tend to react violently eventually when too many are living together in one area.

That is the mob mentality! If once person honks then everybody starts to do that! Despite knowing the fact that nothing is going to help by doing so! That is the way of cooling the nerves at that time!

I have faith and I try my best to walk spiritually and like Jesus. Of course I'm not perfect, all I can do is my best. I love showing others God's love and it definitely helps with my patience! =)

I think more and more people think that they're the only person on the planet...or the only person of any importance. I was impatient when I was younger, but I'm losing that now. I guess because if I'm that impatient for time to pass the next thing I know I'll be 80 and in a nursing home.

The world is at a faster pace than before, like today a car was behind me right on my tail, so I pulled over, and he sped by me making so much noise, I knew he was angry.

Some people are hot headed and lose their patience too easily. I think the roads are obsolete and frustrate many.
