Hello Monday!

Normally Monday isn't so exciting, but it is officially 2 weeks until my kids go back to school. My head is filled with all of the things that I need to do in that 2 week time frame. I feel like nothing is getting accomplished on the schools' end though. We live 3.5 miles from my son's middle school. He is 11 and will be in 6th grade. This will be a new school to him and apparently, they don't have transportation for them if they live less than 4.5 miles from school! Well, I think that is ridiculous. It is over 100F until probably November in the afternoons, and even if he didn't have asthma, ADHD, and mental health issues, I think that is a little far. We don't have a car, and I'm agoraphobic and have lung and other physical problems or I would walk with him. I can't afford $20 a day for a Lyft/Uber. That's crazy! My son in high school rides public bus, but that isn't even an option for this son because the bus doesn't go anywhere near that way. I'm also trying to figure out if I can afford to put my little one in preschool for a couple house, maybe 3 days a week. I know she would love it, and mommy needs a break. Now I'm on the phone with transportation for my 6 year old making sure she has a bus. This stuff really stresses me out, but once it is over, it will be such a relief. The kids start school on August 13th! It seems like this summer just flew by!
