I got up this morning and headed to my favorite thrift store and sold some more DVDs. I also bought some books using my store credit. I bought another book by Patrick Taylor, following Dr. O'Reilly. I am hoping it will be just as good as the other book I've read. The Blazing Tree by Mary Jo Adamson $1.95 Dark Sky by Carla Neggers 0.35 Gorky Park by Martin Cruz Smith 0.90 The Partner by John Grisham0.25 The Silent Wife by A.S.A. Harrison $4.00 A Small Death In The Great Glen by A.D. Scott$1.00 Die A Stranger by Steve Hamilton $1.50 These Granite Islands by Sarah Stonich0.25 In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware $4.00 An Irish Country Wedding by Patrick Taylor$5.50 As you can see, I did go a bit above what I usually pay for a book. There were just several with story lines that were too good for me to pass up. Have you read any of these books? Have you read from any of these authors?

I am looking at this picture again and I am just now realizing how much of my leg was in the shot! I've actually already gone to that store and made another series of purchases with a voucher. I am going to have to get to work on better organizing my shelves soon. I just looked at the synopsis for A Blazing Tree again and I realize this isn't something I would normally pick up...

Other than John Grisham, I haven't read the books nor the authors. I have gotten a Ruth Ware book from the library that I am going to read once I get done with the one I just started. It is called The Woman in Cabin 10. I also want to read In a Dark, Dark Wood. It sounds like a really good book. I also want to read The Silent Wife as it sounds amazing. I have heard of Gorky Park but haven't read it before.

@morgoodie I hope they do! I need to get reading on the books I have but I am also reading some of the books I had on my kindle. Books I've wanted to read but couldn't until now.

I saw "The Woman in Cabin 10" at the thrift store I go to. I considered buying it but am not sure yet. I am still looking for "Low Pressure." I tried to call another book store but the reception was bad or something as I couldn't understand what they were saying. The place I am referring to catalogues their books. I am reading on my kindle now but I plan to start reading all these books I've got soon. I am thinking about shelving them by author's last name.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I had seen it on Goodreads and I was interested in it after reading the synopsis. I am going to look for her other book that you have next time. They both sound very good. I am definitely going to read more Sandra Brown books. I really liked Low Pressure. Hopefully, they will have the ones you have the next time I go to the library.

I havent read any of those books but that's a pretty good deal. Normally you pay like 25 dollars or more for new books. I always go to thrift stores and used book stores for my books to get them cheap.

I am selling dvds and getting half cash and half store credit. I end up getting LOTS of good books for absolutely nothing that way. I am going to go to a few other thrifty book stores in my area soon. I want to get all the DVDs sold first. I went to this place again today and just posted a discussion about it. I sell about 30 dvds per visit.

@JustBhem It's ended. I've been posting pictures and discussions about it. I was gone from Friday to Sunday. I left my house Thursday to stay at a friend and came back to my home Monday.

The store I go to has a good selection of thriller / mystery type books. I saw several others I may get if they are still there the next time I go.

I am planning on making another trip soon. Probably not tomorrow but the next day for sure. I have a shelf that I need to get out of the way so I can get to the other DVDs better. That won't take me too long to do though. I also plan to go to the other book stores but I might hold off on that for a couple of weeks.

Gorky was a quirky enough word to catch my attention.
