Good Friday morning to all from this side of the planet, how was your Thursday? The rains did not fall yesterday and today, it is already hot. I usually wake up at 4:30 AM and go down to the living room/kitchen at 5 AM. I prepare breakfast, or I fix the table like this morning, because my son had his cereals while I had my sandwich and coffee. His breakfast is light, but he takes snacks when they have their recess at 10 AM. My sister does not go down when we (son and I) are busy downstairs. When my son leaves, I tell him to ask permission from my sister that he is going. I open the gate and he drives away, after I plant a kiss on his cheek. It was already hot at 8:30AM, so I decided to bathe 1 brown dog Chibi, and the 2 big Japanese Spitz Xander and Macy. i thought that was the right time for bathing the dogs because the water is not cold and it is also hot. So I did bathed them. Then suddenly, my sister went down and said ‘why did I not wait for her to go down’. I told her it is okay because the weather is good. Then she said,”The dogs should be bathed at 10-10:30AM”, to which I replied, “Then I won’t have rest after the bath to cook our lunch?” My sister goes down in the morning any time for her breakfast and I have my chores to do. But I did not keep the loaf of bread, cheese spread, and mayonnaise in the fridge because I wanted to join her for breakfast. After the bath (she did not help me in even grooming the dogs because she was eating), she kept the food in the fridge. I then talked aloud and told her not to keep the loaf, spread and mayo because I will have another sandwich, and said, “I am waiting for you for breakfast but you ate ahead”. We are only 3 at home. We eat together for dinner, and it is what our parents taught us to always wait for every member of the family for meal time. So when my son eats, I eat with him, but I also eat with my sister, but she did not wait for me a while back. Do you wait for the other members of your family during meal time?

I understand that your sister and the rest of the family, has schedules that may different. You know I lost my Mother last year. When a loved one leaves they are gone to heaven you won't ever get to be with them again. Maybe a bit of conversation to let your sister know how you feel and what you want so there will be peace in the family. Maybe your sister wants to eat alone, for she comes down later. A bit of of conversation may solve it all. Family is wonderful don't loose them early.

we should talk about pleasant things while eating. that is what we learned from our parents before. talking about insensitive issues will only create discomfort with our gastrointestinal system. we talk when we eat together. tomorrow, my son will have his masters class at 8AM.i still expect my sister to be up after my son leaves the house.

It seems your sister wakes up in the wrong side of bed today. Have a blessed day to you!

sometimes. especially if it is Monday, or the first day of the month. if she is stingy or face so cross, i expect her to be up on the wrong side of the bed.

We seldom have meal together even if it's just the two of us here. She usually eats early and eats dinner late, while I'm the opposite. I usually bathe dogs in a hot weather.

so, you finish your chores of bathing your dogs before you have your meals, right? she cannot wait for you so you eat together? or you are already accustomed to that?

@ridingbet Yes, all the time. I go downstairs in the kitchen and when everything is ready I call my husband and we eat together.

Usually, they are the one who eats first because I'm the late one who wakes up.
