They are people that will look you in the face and tell you things there way there are. Like a friend telling you,you look ugly in that dress, you are so fat or you are very lazy and stuff like that and sometimes in a very Rude way. Well most times these things are real but must it be said,I think some things should be left unsaid especially if it will or might kill the other self worth ( well this is me speaking for myself) yes I know I'm fat must you tell me again? Others might like it straight up just tell them the way it is,they even appreciate it that way.Well we are all different and prefer things differently. Which is your pick and why?

It really depends on the situation. If the person is blunt, I expect that the person can take criticism as well.

@Berrygal true. These are the people who trash-talk but can't take any.

Level of sensitivity differs from person to person, environment to environment, subject to subject, age to age, and time to time. It pretty much depends upon when it is uttered. For example, you told me, an almost 60 years old woman, hey you need to do something about that belly fat, I would take it as somebody who is my well wisher since I might get sick because of it. Say that to me during early 20's, and I will think you are rude and jealous and want to hurt my confidence. Even so, presentation does help. Too much of sugar coating means that person is not reliable.

I can be rather blunt myself and if someone asks my opinion I will give you my honest opinion. I try not to deliberately hurt anyone's feelings and I do often tell people not to ask my honest opinion if they didn't really want to hear the truth. That's like someone asked me once what I thought of their new haircut. I told them that it wasn't for me, but I am not the one wearing it. If they like it that is what counts. Some people believe that being blunt is trash talking, but I don't look at it that way. I look at it as giving an honest opinion, after all that is what they asked for. I don't go out of my way to insult anyone or hurt their feelings, but I don't sugar coat my words either. The truth is the truth. It may not always be welcome but it is the truth.

It is better to leave unpleasant truth unsaid
