Its a very popular issue nowadays about whether children are being raised in the right wat or there has been some sort of evolution where nowadays it is seen that kids getaway with more stuff, do you think its right to scold children physically, by spanking?

You live what you want to teach. Empty preaching and punishment does not work.

i absolutely agree but you have to bear in mind that sometimes thats not exactly the case, they may develop bad habits due to external influences such as peer pressure and that most times is not the parents fault

@Santosvb I agree. But punishment will push them more away from you and they will find comfort in the company of those bad influences,

i agree, every child is different and they learn differently so you have to know your child and scold them accordingly

Yes I do @Santosvb . I also believe in biting a child if they are biting others. If a child is being grounded for 1 week; make sure to stick to the full week; otherwise the kid knows punishment doesn't really apply. Rules are rules and consequences apply.

@Santosvb Oh you bet they do. Kids are not stupid and can become huge manipulators and it can start as early as 2 years old. Some parents think, "Oh they're too young to know right from wrong." That is delusional thinking.

@nanette64 i know, thats why i always say parenting is no joke, you have to be careful what you allow your child to develop into, so ground rules are always important and once you follow through, most times they grow into it that leaves the parent with minimal behavioral issues

No I think it's not the right the way to discipline a child, you can teach them in another way not by spanking them

I believe talking to kids will be cool. Spanking them isn't the best way out since they'll soon forget but they won't forget the words to told them.

i agree but then what route do you take if they keep doing the same thing again and again even tho you keep telling them not to, you know kids can be like that

I personally don't like spanking kids. I feel there are other ways as well
