Love August- The Month of Tasty Harvests and Dog Days!

Even though it is a little bittersweet- cause it's later summer, the month of August is a feel good month for me. The tomatoes are harvested and the corn and the peaches and plums are at their best. And don't forget the good for you and delicious Wild Blueberries that are now available!
Also my next favourite Season is in the near future and I love all things FALL! August is also my birthday month so I have a soft spot for it even though I'm really not looking forward to any more! lol!
It promises to be a hot month-just as July was really hot. But I think its been unusually hot in many locations across the globe!
Oh well- Welcome August- you are a super month!

@MarymargII We are now down to 19 Celsius during the night and a maximum of 28/29 during the hottest hours.

Thanks for the B-Day wishes Anna and yes we had a great torrential rain and thunderstorm that was fun to see which has brought our temps down to a cooler 26-29 for the week as well. Love August!

We've had a very unusually cool spell the last couple of weeks, and I'm not complaining about it at all, since August is usually our hottest month! My wallet is especially going to be thankful when my electric bill is not quite as high as it usually is this time of year!
And Happy Birthday month to you! You may not be looking forward to any more birthdays, but keep this in mind...the more birthdays you have, the longer you live! haha

@MarymargII I always find it funny when we come across those rare instances where our temperature is opposite of how it should be compared to yours. I think we had a few instances this past winter where it was actually colder in Florida than it was in Canada. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen every now and then!

Enjoy your cool spell and your wallet expansion haha! Here it hasn't been bad either. We could have even been hotter than you at around 85 degrees F

My favorite season is also coming up. Fall is a nice and beautiful month, but there is nothing like winter in all it's pristine beauty. Summer has been terrible, though not as hot as I expected it would be. Now that August is here, so is the humidity. Ugh! Happy Birthday to you this month. I hope it's a pleasant day. For me, give me fall and cooler temps and lower humidity.

Haha and yes I remember your love of Winter-- No although I do love Fall- Spring is my favourite I guess, followed by Fall and then Summer. And thanks for the Bday wishes!

@MarymargII You're welcome. The only season I'm not fond of is summer. I love the colors of Fall, and the cool new growth bursting forth in Spring, but you can have summer and its heat.

Summer is quickly coming to an end and it's crazy how fast time is flying by. Pretty soon we'll be complaining about snow !
