I was doing some snooping around on the WWW and came across some interesting facts about The Rock, his family and the WWE. One little known fact about The Rock is that he is a Canadian Citizen by default. He was born in the USA but his father is Canadian. There is a statute in Canada that grants people citizenship if at least one of their parents is Canadian, even though they themselves were not born in Canada. The Rock had also played in the CFL (Canadian Football League) with the Calgary Stampeders for 2 months. Football was his first aspiration until an injury ruined that dream. The Rock's father was also a professional wrestler and is a wrestling Hall Of Famer. He married into the Anoa'i family, which produced a long lineage of professional wrestlers, Yokozuna being one of them. (The Rock is Yokozuna's cousin on his mother's side... ) Rocky Johnson, "The Rock's dad, is from Nova Scotia, Canada. (My home province) During his career as a wrestler, he and his Tag-Team partner, Tony Atlas, broke the color barrier in the WWE by becoming the first Black tag-team to win a WWE Championship. I just wanted to share these fun facts about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. After discovering them I have a new respect for him.
