Day 33 Mark 11:27-33 Mark 11:27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders, 28 And say unto him, By what authority do thou these things? And who gave thee this authority to do these things? 29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. 30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? Answer me. 31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? 32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed. 33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering said unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things. Have you been in a place where people question why you do what you do, and no matter what you tell them, they won’t believe you? The chief priests, scribes, and elders thought to trap Jesus by his words. However, Jesus asked them a question in return, promising to give them the answer if they could answer him, which they couldn’t do because they feared what their answer would cause. As Christians, you all lived in the world, enjoying the fruit of the world, before you met Jesus as Savior and Lord. For some of you, as soon as you did, your friends started making remarks hoping to show you for the fraud they thought you were, believing no one could change as much as you did. However, nothing they said, could change who you became in Jesus Christ. Jesus had come from a small town, and lived as a carpenter’s son until he began his ministry. Everyone was aware of his background and did what they could to prove he wasn’t who he claimed to be. Yet, no matter how much they tried to trap him, they couldn’t change who he was, the Son of God. Jesus answered questions meant to trap him, with questions, not allowing anyone to trap him into saying something that wasn’t true. Your enemy will always try to prove you aren’t who you claim to be, a child of God. He will do his best to make you believe your salvation wasn’t real, cause you to doubt what you know, and try to show others you aren’t who you say you are. Yet, your salvation is real, and you don’t need to prove your salvation to anyone. Your new lifestyle, found in Jesus Christ, speaks for itself. Jesus didn’t need to prove his authority. Everything he did, everything he said, proved he was the Son of God. Let’s pray: Father, let me show who I am, by my words and actions, not allowing Satan to steal from me that I am your child. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Copyright © 8 August 2018 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of pixabay

Many times in our Christian walk we have been known to question god. Many times that is when you really have to learn to use more Trust and believe it will all work out for the Best.

So true. It's not a bad thing to question God. It solidifies our faith when we do. Have a blessed day.
