As an American, how do you really feel about Trump?

Some people say he's a disgrace some thinks he is the best thing that happened to America in a 100 years. I personally think it doesn't matter if he is a sexually maniac or a saint. What matters is his output. For now, I think he's doing well. I am an American citizen and I'm frequently abroad and I must say, every word that comes out from is watched by billions of people. Foreign stock markets and governments are on their heels I tell you, and it's great, now, US is on the offensive when it comes to economic growth instead of being on defensive

I think he has good ideas, but he really needs to get his Asperger's under control.

I am just curious and you probably one of the only few people I am scared of on here. I am pretty sure you know I am not doing you dirty by challenging you. What do you like? End globalization, border wall. Seems most common, but I need to know so I can maybe come to some sort of compromise because you people driving me nuts. I say that nicely and with respect, but the amount of hate that came with this man is unbearable and you have been very respectful. Which is why I will take what you say seriously.

@FourWalls All makes me go mmm. At least you know why and give you that where others go because my family told me. America first I think I like the best, Hey have to start somewhere. kind of see your hate premise a bit off. I always knew why many took as Obama for hate. Not sure the world saw that, but your side saw it as smug. From what I gather anyway. Obama was extremely smart and sometimes people come off as lacking empathy when so smart. Not sure your guy even knows what that means. Come on kind of funny.

@crossbones27 -- "scared of"? Because I am an ex-postal employee? SERIOUSLY..... 1. The notion of "draining the swamp" is something that I think appeals to a lot of people, myself included. I think a lot of Trump's popularity comes from the fact that he's not a "professional politician." The down side of that, of course, is that professional politician or no, people worth a few billion don't know what living paycheck to paycheck is all about. However, I do concur with the general "republican theme" (although they seldom put it into practice, they just use it as a campaign slogan [hence the "professional politician" theme resurfacing]) of less government and less obtrusive government. 2. I also generally agree with "America first." We need to fix our own problems (and I mean fix them, not "throw more money" at "studies" that'll say "we have a problem") first. There was a recording back in the early 70s called "The Americans: A Canadian's Opinion" by Gordon Sinclair. Give it a listen. It is a spoken-word opinion piece about how America rushes to the aid of everyone, but it's rarely reciprocated when we have issues. 3. I vehemently agree with better defense. Our country isn't free because of some piece of paper that says so. Remember that Germany signed a lot of pieces of paper ending World War I, and less than 15 years later they were back at it again. We have enemies. We need to be able to defend ourselves from them. 4. I also agree with curbing ILLEGAL immigrants. The key word is ILLEGAL. I have no problem with anyone who wants to do things legally, whether it's come to America and become a citizen, vote, buy a car, and/or acquire a million dollars. But that's the thing: do it legally. Work for the money. Buy a lottery ticket. Don't rob a bank. Same thing here: apply through the channels. As for the hate, that's being stirred up by the same factions (just the opposite end of the political spectrum) who stirred up hate for Obama. Y'know, they always say "follow the money," so ask yourself who's making out like a bandit with all of this "hate speech"? It's just my opinion, and you know what we say about opinions being analogous to the anal orifice....

Fair enough, but how is he doing great? I do not get it. No he is not doing great America is doing great and that is debatable because so many do not even earn a living wage. Unemployement is very low, but most. minimum wage jobs no one can survive off. This guy just sold out America on live not national TV but world TV. Oh Putin did no wrong. I am done tip toeing around supporters of Trump. I do like your candid question, what freedom is about, now stand up and do not let this fool destroy it.

I think he would have never ran if he didn't have the best interest of US at hand. I mean, he already had everything money could buy but he decided to run for his country. He takes $1 a year, that's unheard of.

@kimian55 You buy that, its so easy. He thought he would get richer. All the money he owes. Running for president was easiest way out of it. Not sure how people not seeing that but they choosing not to. Anyway, hope he serves you well, I know in this house he is not welcome.

He is a YUGE idiot and a horrible human being. But thank God, he is so bigly inept because otherwise, he would be doing a lot more damage.

I'm a Brit but I think he is a disgusting person, to be honest. He doesn't have any decency on a personal level and this matters to me as he is in a position where he should be a role model, both professionally and morally. I don't think he does anything politically because he cares about people but he cares about money and that's his motivation. Obviously, his attitude works for many but not for all.
