A funny pet story from my past

Our dog growing up was a male, black mid size poodle. We kept him inside the house. He would get so excited to be a part of family vacations. Once, we took him to the beach for our family vacation. We rented a Beach House. We kept him in the house and we would take him out with his leash on , to go for walks on the beach. He enjoyed that, but we could tell, if we were not careful, he could sneak out and run down the beach and get lost. So, we tried to be as careful with him as possible. But, one day, he did get lose. He ran onto the beach and was running and running. My Dad, started chasing him and yelling for him to "come here". My Dad chased him on foot a long way. Then, my Dad got so frustrated, he screamed "you win, bye bye"! My Dad then turned around and started walking away from him. After he had walked some, he turned around and sure enough, our dog had started following my Dad. The whole thing was just a big game for our dog! He didn't really want to run off and leave us, he just wanted to run and be chased!
