Shorts and Shoes

In the summertime down south USA people wear as less as possible to beat the heat of summer, this reaches from the Pacific ocean to the Atlantic ocean, although the humidity level are different its still hot. This morning while listening to the preacher he told a story of his dad wearing shorts and his legs being so white it was blinding, wearing dress shoes and dress socks. I was thinking about my dad and he NEVER wore shorts out of the house. He was a red head with white legs and brown torso, he was in construction most of his life. He always wore shoes but they were tennis shoes, unless he was going to church or a funeral. Then my old cousin that died a couple years back at age 91, she rarely wore pants and always shorts, no socks and slip on tennis shoes. I seen her in a dress a couple times, those times were funerals. My sister does not wear shorts ever! I have not seen her in shorts since we were in our 20`s. She always wears shoes, although she will sport sandals at times. She is also a red head. Me? I am one that will wear as least as possible, I have to say this summer I have worn pants twice and that was for work cutting and pulling the downed brush and trees,. I can recall summers I did not put on pants till the late fall. However, if I`m going out I will choose a dress or skirt instead of pants. If it was allowed I would not wear shoes, although I have pretty shoes. Do you wear pants all summer or do you wear shorts? Shoes or no shoes.
