Rodent Problems

Oh hey! How are you? I just finished up talking to my mamma for a little bit trying to figure out how to solve our ongoing mouse problem. A mouse actually came through my window last night. My window has a board on it on the outside and the inside is covered in plastic and tape and the adhesive from the tape has weakened and the furry cretin made it through which was terrifying. But that is now all retaped so it won't make it through. They also like to go in my bathroom for some reason and we have no idea where they are coming from so we are going to close the door and see if it is actually from there they are coming from as well. It is all trial and error until we finally get to the point of getting rid of them completely. I mean the only way of doing that is getting a house that doesn't have multiple holes in the house because it is so freaking old. But that is not possible at the moment. We have tried everything but snap traps and an exterminator, my mom isn't brave enough for snap traps and we don't have money for an exterminator. I told her I would take care of the snap traps like I did with the glue traps, but we are going to try blocking other areas first before we do anything else. So who knows, I just want my mom to stop stressing and I also just want to not have animals other than my stuffed animals in my room!

Mouse is a mess when it enters in the home. Last time when mouse came here at my place, it messed up with a blanket and two plastic boxes. We got rid of it after 5-6 days.

@anamika161088 We live in a mobile home community so rodents are common here and the last set of mice have been here for a while.

We have been battling them for years and there is nothing they can get into.

@DesirousDreamer Do they come again and again in the house?

Try blocking the areas where you think they come in first. The best think to do is to know exactly from where they come inside.

We have done that, there is literally metal drilled into my walls, brick pieces put in the bathroom, wood drilled by any windows. My entire house is going to be rebuilt before we get rid of them. My house is very old and weak and so they literally chew through the walls.

@LadyDuck Most houses in this area unless they actually have money have the same problem. It is a mobile home community so such things do happen.

I cannot afford a cat or else that would be an option.

All your food and tableware must be put away in case a mouse crawls over. I hope these mice will disappear soon. I hate mice.

We literally have our cereal stored in our fridge. There is no food or anything in sight that they can get to. We have no idea why they are still here.

We had mice one time and it was awful, we finally found they were coming in from a pipe that was installed from the basement to the outside that the workers hadn't repaired the hole around the pipe. We put Dcon down and they were all gone quickly.

We have tried to find every hole and they just keep making more, I wish it was just that easy but my house is old and weak.

I wish it wasn't an ongoing problem for you guys. I know it stresses both of you out. I hope you figure out where they are coming from. Spray foam is your best friend.
