A single dad attended to the Mother's Day celebration

Mother's Day celebration

This is a very touching news in my opinion. A man from Thailand who separated with his wife for three years. He didn't want his son felt disappointed because other children's mothers would attend to the Mother's Day celebration. He dressed up like a female to attend to this celebration and he didn't care about others. This is a very good dad

It's great that he turned up on the day but I don't know why he needed to wear a dress. It didn't seem necessary to me.

@JudyEv ~The man could have been overly dramatic but I think that he wanted to get more attention this way.

I think he wanted to dress more like "mother".

Well, I do not know what to say. Surely he did this for his son good, so the intention was good.

He is very considerate and I am glad his son had a "mother" in this celebration.

@LadyDuck I do not understand why he had to dress like a transvestite to go there. It may be disturbing for the child.

@youless I agree with Judy, he did a sweet thing, but I would have skipped dressing like a woman. I know that I would have been extremely embarrassed as a kid in front of my schoolmates.

I don't know why he could not just let the mother of his child attend the function. After all, she is the child's true biological mother. I can understand the divorce and all but it would be good for the child to have some form of connection no matter what had happened in the past.

The news didn't tell us why his mother couldn't attend to it.

@youless I am just not agreeable that the father cross dress when he could just appear as who he is and still be a "mother" in sensible way.

@artemeis I have checked the news, the mother left and she lives in Europe now. The mother left 3 years ago, so this is not the first time the kids do not have their mother at the celebration. I also am shocked by the fact he is wearing a woman dress.

I feel awkward watching him in a skirt. He just needs to wear men's clothes. He is a good father.

I wonder he dressed like female so that at least he looks like a "mother" among mothers.

I fully agree with you, this is absolutely wrong.

@youless Well, in this case he could have chosen a dress similar to all the other mothers. This dress is inappropriate.

@youless I saw a man with two young daughters at the bus stop once. His hair was in pin curls and his toenails were painted.

i remember reading the opposite in the us. i searched for it and here is the link: in sept 2016 a single mom in texas went to her 12 year old son's donuts with dad's day at the school library by wearing a checkered shirt, fake mustache and baseball cap.
This mom said she would do "whatever it takes to put a smile" on her son's face.
