This is Leshan Buddha I visited when I went to Sichuan province.
This giant Buddha is the sitting image of the Maitreya Buddha. Its height is 71 meters. It is the largest stone sculpture in China.
Can you see his feet in the picture? His foot is 8.5 meters wide. More than a hundred people can sit around on the feet.
Leshan Giant Buddha is a statue of Maitreya in sitting posture. In December, 1996, the location of the Buddha was included by UNESCO on the list of the World Heritage Sites.

If you can walk to his foot and touch it, you will find it is really big. It's really amazing.

You're right. It will take a long time to go down from head to foot. Especially there are many people. There is one river in front of the Buddha.
