Spine Gourd Vegetable I like it a lot- Yummy!

Hi mylotters. There is one vegetable named Spine Gourd which is available only during Monsoon season. In India the term used is "Kantola".
My mom makes this vegetable very nicely. She has two recipes to make this vegetable. Whenever I am in Gujarat at home, I eat them. In Mumbai, the price of it is very costly.
Do you know about this vegetable? Do you like to eat it?

You can just saute it with lots of onions and some powdered spices -turmeric, chilli and cumin and salt. Just cover it and shimmer on low flame.

We cook them but very rarely as it is not so much available in Bangalore. I love it.
